DETAILS MATTER
Make something well, choose materials carefully, and design it to be used again and again. From the fabrics and finishes we select to the manufacturers we work with, we consider the impact of our choices.
That means looking beyond performance alone. We chose a BIONIC-FINISH® ECO, an ecological, fluorine-free water-repellent as our jacket finish. Our fabric makers and manufacturers have certifications that include OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, ISO standards, EN ISO 20471, and SGS testing. Custom dyed trims, small quantities, and recycled material are important. These choices matter to us.

Oshun Apparel is a Canadian, female-owned and operated brand, creating thoughtfully designed outerwear and bags inspired by West Coast life. Designed in Vancouver, our jackets and bags move easily from cold swims, boating, and paddleboarding to the sidelines, rainy days, and wherever the day takes you.
Founder Story
IT STARTED WITH A QUESTION.
Oshun began shortly after the birth of founder Alexis Taschuk’s third child, when a newfound love of cold-water swimming sparked a wave of creativity.
A question followed: Could I make better gear for this ritual that I love so much? Could it be designed to live beyond the water? Something multifunctional, thoughtfully designed, and not left in a closet.
What followed was three years of ideas, relationships, prototypes, testing, and refinement. The result is Oshun: thoughtfully designed gear made for the water and West Coast life.
